This is not an official FCA club event, however it is very well organized and long time club member Allen Faulkner has planned an incredible drive with fantastic destinations and it benefits the club to have the opportunity to participate.  Please see registration details below and let Allen know if you have any questions.

Note:  This drive/rally is capped at 20 vehicles.

The rally will be 5-days and 4-nights March 28 -  April 1.  This rally is named  "Best of California: by-ways, coast and vineyards".  

Just like the last rally, the roads will be less traveled (but ALL paved) scenic and there will be good food and even better company.  This would be a four-night trip beginning in Phoenix ending in Sonoma.  We would fly home from Sonoma and shipping cars home via enclosed trucks or you have the option of driving back on your own.  

Night stops on this trip would include:

  1. Santa Monica, CA

  2. Paso Robles, CA (wine country with many tasting rooms & vineyards)

  3. San Franciso, CA

  4. Sonoma county (more wine country!)

This "best of" California trip will be VERY fun, I promise!  Ask anyone who's attended one of my rallies before and they'll tell you how much fun they had! Dates:Departing Scottsdale Thursday, March 28thEnding in Sonoma, CA Monday, April 1st You are free to drive home from Sonoma if you you wish, otherwise I am organizing enclosed return transportation to Scottsdale.  If you need to fly home Sunday night from Sonoma thats fine and if you want to remain in Sonoma/Napa that's fine too!  The current estimate for enclosed return shipping of your car is $1,000. The route is very scenic with fun twisty roads!  A group photographer will attend to get shots of the group and your prized car along the way.  This is a volunteer planed tour/rally and NOT a catered-to or concierge style event; I have planned the entire route, made (hard to get) discount hotel reservations and planned many group meals.  This means all you need to do is show up, follow the group and have fun (but please remember this is a volunteer position, I am not a concierge and complaints are NOT welcome, lol).    There are three parts to RSVPing for this event:

  1. Notify me ( or 602-363-5616) of your intent to attend, if there is still availability I will instruct you how to pay deposits.

  2. Pay your deposits (explained below)

  3. Make hotel reservations from group block (instructions provided by me) and you pay for your own rooms.

As for deposits, there are 3 deposits:

  • $550 Per vehicle: Goes towards: in-route mobile detailing 3 nights, Valet & security fees for car, photographer.

  • $500 Per person: Goes towards: group dinners Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday, group lunches Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday, and group events tbd.

  • If you choose ship your car home a firm quote will be acquired and communicated.  The full cost of shipping will be collected as the third deposit.

Group meals for the rally are calculated by dividing the total cost of the meal by the total number attending the trip. That means, if you choose NOT to eat with the group or eat "only a salad" you will STILL be charged the per person cost for that meal.  All unused funds will be returned and it is possible there could be more owed by attendees.  There are NO administrative expenses, only actual expenses.

This Rally is capped at 20 exotic cars and 9 spots have already been taken from previous attendees.
